Privacy policy
FreeSeedsOnline sells cannabis seeds from the shop at Nieuwe Boteringestraat 41 in Groningen and through this website. To deliver, we need a few details from you. Below is exactly which ones, why, how long we keep them and who else gets to see them.
This policy covers freeseedsonline.com and its German and English versions. Questions? Email info@freeseedsonline.com or call +31 50 2043096.
Who is responsible
FreeSeedsOnline, Nieuwe Boteringestraat 41, 9712 PH Groningen, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce 60712252, VAT number NL108121100B02.
What we keep, and why
When you order
We keep your name, address, postcode, town, country, email address, phone number, what you ordered, what you paid, how you paid and the tracking number. Without those we cannot get the parcel to you and cannot issue an invoice.
A phone number is not required. We ask for it because PostNL may call you if something goes wrong with the delivery.
If you wrote a note with your order, it stays with the order.
When you create an account
We also keep your password — not the password itself, but an encrypted imprint from which the password cannot be recovered. Plus your preferred language, whether you want the newsletter, when you created the account and when you last logged in.
You can order without an account.
When you sign up for the newsletter
We keep your email address, your first name if you give one, your language, and whether and when you confirmed the sign-up. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom; after that we send you nothing.
When you save something to your wishlist
Without an account that list lives only in your own browser. Log in and we link it to your account, so it is the same on your phone and your laptop.
What we record automatically
Addresses on our site that do not exist go into a list, together with the page the visitor came from. That is to find broken links, not to follow visitors around.
Changes made in the admin are recorded with the IP address of the person who made them. That is about us, not about you.
Cookies
The shop sets one cookie it needs to work: it remembers what is in your basket and whether you are logged in. We do not have to ask permission for that one, and you cannot refuse it without making the shop unusable.
For measuring visits we do ask, with the bar at the bottom of the screen. If you decline, the shop works exactly the same. We remember your choice; you can change it at any time.
There is more about this in our cookie policy.
Who else sees your details
Only the parties needed to handle your order:
- PostNL — your name, address and phone number, to deliver the parcel.
- PAY. (Pay.nl) — the payment. We never see your full bank or card details; those stay with the payment provider and your bank.
- Our mail provider — to send you the confirmation, the invoice and the shipping notice.
We do not sell your details and do not pass them on for anyone else's advertising. Everything sits on servers inside the European Union.
How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: seven years. The Dutch tax office requires that and we cannot deviate from it.
- Your account: as long as you keep it. Ask us to delete it and we will — except the order details we are legally required to keep.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Wishlist: until you empty it or delete your account.
What you can ask for
You can always ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct something that is wrong;
- delete your details;
- hand you your details in a readable file;
- stop using your details.
Email info@freeseedsonline.com. We reply within a month. If you disagree with what we do, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority in your own country.
How we protect it
The whole site runs over a secure connection. Passwords are stored encrypted and unreadable. The admin sits behind a second step alongside the password, and anyone who changes something ends up in the log.
Changes
If what we do with your details changes, we update this page. The date of the last change is at the top.
