Gorilla Glue #4, these days often just called Gorilla or GG4, came about by accident in the United States around 2013, when a Chem's Sister x Sour Dubb plant turned hermaphrodite and pollinated a Chocolate Diesel. The result won several Cannabis Cups in 2014 and became world famous for two things: extremely high resin production, so sticky the scissors stick to the buds, and THC levels up to 25 percent and beyond. This category holds every Gorilla strain in our range.

Which Gorilla strains do we have?

• Gorilla Glue Gold: our own Goldline version of GG4, selected for resin and potency.
• Gorilla Gold Autoflower: the same genetics in a plant that finishes 10 weeks after germination.
• Royal Gorilla and Royal Gorilla Auto: the Royal Queen Seeds version, one of their strongest strains.
• Mother Gorilla: Gorilla Glue x Chocolate Diesel, with a chocolate-like taste.
• Pink Gorilla: a cross with a sweeter, fruity taste and pink hues in bloom.

How do you grow Gorilla?

Gorilla is a balanced hybrid that reaches 100 to 150 cm indoors and responds well to topping. Flowering takes 8 to 10 weeks. The plant is not difficult, but two things need attention: the dense, resinous buds are prone to mould in the final weeks, so keep humidity low, and the GG4 line originally has a slight tendency towards hermaphroditism under stress. So keep a stable light schedule and no light leaks during the dark period. Outdoors in northern Europe Gorilla finishes late September to October in a sunny, sheltered spot; the autoflowers are the safer outdoor choice.

Effect and taste

Earthy and spicy, with diesel, pine and, in Mother Gorilla, chocolate. The effect is very strong and comes on fast: first euphoric and clear, then a heavy physical relaxation that keeps you on the couch. This is a strain for experienced users.

How strong is Gorilla?

Under good conditions the GG4 line reaches 24 to 27 percent THC. It is one of the strongest families in the shop; start with a little.

Is Gorilla suitable for beginners?

The grow is doable after one previous grow, with attention to humidity and a strict light schedule. The effect is not for beginners.
